I have used dropshippers ever since I first started selling on the internet.
You are right, you can supply an entire Ebay store with these products. I did.
I have recently closed down this store only due to the charges that Ebay charged me for having this store. Fees are now out of sight.
I now sell on Inetbid,MarJac outlets,my online store, okiescooldeals.com, which I also let other Ebay sellers use.
My prices are lower than most of the dropship site I have located in the past 5 years.
I am in the process of creating a new online store which I am stocking 100% with dropshipped products. Please watch for the grand opening soon of HomePageOutlets .com I do suggest that you look for small online business to help stock your products. These help to keep the "items sold out" down to a minimum.
Merchants do keep you up on their products better than most of the dropship companies.
I also suggest that you never use any site that charge you monthly for dropshipping.
My experience is that these sites are not any better than the rest.
There are also a few drawback with these sites that you don't have with some of the other free sites.
They are the first to sell out of products that you have listed.
As to date I have never found one of these sites that does not honor the dropship accounts over their wholesaler accounts. If they show that they have 500 items in stock, and they get an order for 500 of these items, they could care less if the seller has listed the same item on their website/auction.
There is also something very wrong with a supplier that makes you pay to sell their products!
I have had several people on Ebay challenge me regarding using dropshippers.
They tell me it will not work. They are WRONG!
It is clear these sellers do not understand the entire situation for using this type of stocking for merchandise. You can offer your customers a larger range of products which results in more sales for you.
Personally I thing the entire internet is large enough to handle any type of selling you care to use.
As for me, I will continue to USE DROPSHIPPERS.

Great article! One thing I'd like to add is the importance of checking the reliability and the legitimacy of the dropshipping company. Sadly, because of the success of dropshipping, many scammers are prowling the internet and ready to get a quick buck.
Before, partnering with any company, look for reviews first, check with the BBB, ask around in forums, etc... so you can get as much info about the company. You will be spending time and money on your dropship business so better to be safe from scammers.
